The Problem

The Ford Maverick tailgate has several factory openings and cutouts near the hinge area that allow dirt, gravel, sand, and road debris to easily make their way inside the tailgate structure. The smaller drain hole covers are specifically designed with an open-bottom structure that still allows water to drain properly while helping prevent debris from entering from above.
